Matchmaker for Discord / Counter-Strike 2
Solo-queueing Competitive or Premier throws you in with four random teammates who won't call rotations, won't trade kills, and disappear the moment the round is lost. Wingman needs an actual duo partner who plays your rank, not whoever queues fastest. Discord's own #lfg channels are just noise — a wall of "anyone wanna play" messages with no way to filter by rank, so a Global Elite and a Silver end up trying to duo Wingman together and both have a miserable time.
Matchmaker pairs you with CS2 players at a comparable rank, using the same tier ladder the game itself uses:
Uses your numeric Premier Rating (0-99,999), not the tier ladder below.
The Silver-through-Global-Elite ladder shown below. Map-based queuing (Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Ancient, Anubis, or all maps).
2v2 only — you're matched with exactly one teammate at your rank.
/joingame and pick Counter-Strike 2, your mode, and your rank.Both. Premier uses your numeric Premier Rating; Competitive and Wingman use the Silver-through-Global-Elite rank ladder. Set your rank or rating for whichever mode you queue.
Wingman is 2v2, so you're matched with exactly one other player at a comparable rank — there's no larger lobby to fill around you.
The bot creates a temporary voice channel when your match forms and needs permission to create channels in your server — that's the only permission required beyond the standard bot invite.
Matches require every player to confirm via a DM ready-check. If someone doesn't respond, that match is dropped and the remaining players stay in queue.
Yes. CS2 players from separate Discord servers are pooled into one matchmaking queue, so you aren't limited to your own server's member list.
